Graduate Support at i-teachers

We are an Education Recruitment Consultancy established in 2016 with an aim to support teachers with their long-term careers and help kick-start the teaching careers of passionate graduates across the country. There are so many options when it comes to teaching that it can be confusing choosing which path to take. It can also be quite difficult to get on to teacher training programmes without prior experience working in a school, and you might not want to commit to a career in teaching without experiencing life as a teacher. This is where i-teachers come in with our fantastic graduate support programme!

Our ‘Step into Teaching’ Programme

Our ‘Step into Teaching’ programme offers graduates paid experience within a school environment. We provide the opportunity to really explore school life, build crucial teaching skills and develop fantastic relationships with schools and students. This graduate support experience allows time to ensure that you are on the correct career path for you.

You will get to experience the life of a teacher, learn how to be a great educator from experienced teaching professionals and truly impact the lives of pupils, whilst in a fully supportive environment. It is fantastic work experience both for your own personal development as well as for your CV, and you can earn whilst you learn!

Finding your perfect role.

Our team of talented Education Consultants carefully place graduates in paid teaching assistant positions that are perfectly suited to your skills set, in a school that perfectly matches your personality and aims.

There are a range of roles available to you, often linked to your degree subject. As we are a national company, you can also choose where in the UK you would like to be located. We currently work with a range of schools across London, Manchester, West Yorkshire, West Midlands and the East Midlands. You will get to experience teaching and student support first-hand and ‘test the water’ before you dedicate yourself to a PGCE or other teacher training course.

Our service matches you with roles based on your degree subject specialism. Our most common roles include Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors or Academic Tutors. We cover core subjects such as Maths English, Science, as well as MFL, Primary and Special Educational Needs support.
