1:1 SEN Support Assistant – Key Information:                                   

  • 1:1 SEN Support Assistant role
  • Fantastic school
  • Located in Leeds, West Yorkshire (LS7)
  • £70-£90 per day, term time only
  • Monday – Friday school hours, full time
  • Fantastic SENCO and support department
  • Visible and supportive SLT
  • Easily accessible via public transport links

1:1 SEN Support Assistant – The Role:

  • Support young people with special educational needs
  • Deliver 1:1/group interventions
  • Support children with emotional and social difficulties
  • If required, be able to manage challenging behaviour
  • Liaise with your SENCo regarding progress of children
  • Empathetic but firm approach

1:1 SEN Support Assistant – Person Specification:

  • 1st class or 2:1 degree (psychology or relatable degree preferred)
  • Strong academic background – e.g. A levels and GCSEs
  • Previous experience working with young people – essential
  • Experience with SEN and/or challenging behaviour – desirable
  • Enthusiastic and uplifting personality
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
