1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Role Description

• 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role
• Unique role that enables you to spend time out of the classroom with one pupil to support them with learning and personal growth
• Support in a Year 3 class, when you are not supporting 1:1 you will be
• Work 1-2-1 with a pupil and enable access to learning
• Assist the Class Teacher in management of pupils
• Help pupils focus on tasks throughout lessons
• Provide support for children with SEND
• Record pupil progress and provide relevant feedback to Teachers
• Unique role that enables you to spend time out of the classroom with one pupil to support them with learning and personal growth

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – About You

• 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – graduate position
• Ideally a minimum 2:1 grade in any subject
• For non-graduates, highly experienced CVs are welcomed!
• Good A-levels or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children would be advantageous
• Act as a good role model
• Knowledge of SEN and aspirations to work in the sector
