Academic Coach – STEM Graduate – Wolverhampton – Person specification / about the role
To apply for this role you must have a 2:1 degree in a STEM subject. You must also have a passion for your subject and be able to communicate efficiently with pupils from a range of age groups. Although experience in education is required for this role, ideally you will have had some experience working with children e.g. tutoring or coaching. The role itself will be diverse, as you will be expected to work within a variety of subjects and adapt to the different needs of each pupil. Day –to-day the role will involve assisting with the class teacher with tasks such as lesson planning, group work and marking. Furthermore, once your confidence has grown within the classroom you will be able to conduct your own 1:1 and small group interventions with students who are struggling with certain aspects of the curriculum.
