Sixth Form Academic Learning Mentor – The Role:

In this exciting role you will be key to the college’s strategy to boost progress and outcomes for students. You will support pupils who may need additional support in order to achieve their potential. Specifically assigned to the department where your strengths lie, you will be working closely with the head of department to monitor and support the progress of targeted students.

The purpose of the role is to help learners to get to where they need to be, whether that is an employable post-16 learner once they leave sixth form, or helping them to get on to a university course once they have completed their A levels.

Sixth Form Academic Learning Mentor – Person Specification:

i-teachers are looking for high-achieving and confident graduates with a minimum of a 2:1 degree. It is essential that you are an enthusiastic individual who is resilient and empathetic. You must also be a great communicator and be passionate about supporting students from a range of socio-economic contexts.
