Are you a University graduate with a 2:1 Maths subject degree, with the ambition of supporting secondary students in the subject inside of a classroom environment?

Perhaps you’re looking to gain first hand teaching experience in the subject, with the assistance and guidance of experienced teachers to help support you as an Academic Learning Mentor in the Maths subject?

Do you have the necessary organisation and communication skills to carefully structure and conduct individual support sessions, enhancing the academic ability of secondary Maths students?

If you are a Maths University graduate looking for the opportunity to display your subject knowledge inside of a warm and supportive secondary school supporting secondary students, then this is the role for you.

Academic Learning Mentor – Role Information:

  • Academic Learning Mentor role
  • Full academic year
  • September Start
  • Located in the Leeds area
  • Paid £300 – £325 per week, term time only as Academic Learning Mentor
  • Supporting students inside of the Maths subject
  • Helping organise and conduct class lessons alongside teacher
  • Structuring and conducting sessions designed to improve students weak points
  • Utilising subject knowledge in enhancing the academic ability of students

  • Minimum 2:1 Maths degree
  • Excellent academic background
