To be a Graduate Academic Mentor you must be a confident communicator who can engage with youngsters of all abilities and backgrounds. You must be an emphatic person who can offer appropriate support to students who may have special educational needs. Ideally you have a core subject degree in English, Maths, Science or Humanities (Geography/History). You should have a 2:1 or above predicted for your degree and a strong passion for education.
