Aspiring Educational Psychologist – Harrow

  • 2:1 degree or above essential. Russell Group / 1st class preferred

Aspiring Educational Psychologist – About the role:

You will be using your Psychology degree and experience with young people to support the school’s SEN department.  The role will involve supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to maximise progress and achievement.  The role will require you to be flexible as every day will be different.  You will work closely with the school’s SENCO and visiting Educational Psychologist to support class teachers to implement intervention plans for pupils with specific learning difficulties.  This is ideal experience for an aspiring Educational Psychologist to have exposure to a wide range of SEN and gain vital experience for future EP applications. 

Aspiring Educational Psychologist – Person Spec:

You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) which will enable you to build relationships with all stakeholders.  You will have a strong academic record with a minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology, ideally from a Russell Group University. You will have demonstrable experience working or volunteering with young people and be able to show a thorough understanding of SEN in the classroom. You will have a genuine commitment to pursuing a career in Educational Psychology (or education more generally) and be available for the full academic year. You will be resilient in order to be successful in a role that is as challenging as it is rewarding.
