This school located in Bolton is looking to find an ambitious and passionate candidate, intent on beginning their teaching career inside a wonderfully inclusive and friendly secondary school supporting children with additional behavioural needs. In this role you will be offering academic and support to children with additional behavioural needs, which may include challenging situations requiring patience and an understanding of the child’s issues.

Behaviour Mentor – Job Overview:
o Organising and conducting both individual and group sessions with additional behavioural needs students
o Developing and enhancing the academic and emotional ability of each student, structuring sessions to their individual needs
o Offering degree subject knowledge to both staff and students
o Gaining more vital techniques and methods from experienced and supportive SEN staff
o Brilliant role for aspiring Psychologists
o Key experience before progressing into teacher training scheme
o Working with additional behavioural needs students
o Paid £300-£325 per week, term time only as Behaviour Mentor

What do I need to apply?
o For this particular role, you will need to have obtained a minimum 2:1 Psychology related degree
o Must have a passion and ambition to work with secondary school students
o Want to work inside a school environment
o Possible prior experience working inside school environment or with children
o Ambition to progress inside field of Psychology
o Brilliant organisation and communication skills
o Patient and understanding attitude towards student’s needs and issues
o Able to deal with challenging situations e.g aggressive, spontaneous outbursts, crying
