Biology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Dudley – About the role / Person specification
This role requires a graduate to have obtained a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Biology Ideally your degree will be from a Russell Group University. It is essential that you have gained some work experience with children, this doesn’t necessarily have to be in an educational context. The role requires a genuine passion for Science as you will be communicating the subject matter to a range of students daily. Therefore, you must have confidence in your abilities and be a dynamic graduate who is able to adapt their teaching approach to best suit each individual student. Day to day you will be planning and conducting 1:1 and small group interventions with children who are finding certain aspects of science difficult. You will also be involved with the main lesson, therefore you may find yourself helping to set up a class practical lesson for one lesson and then helping to organise group work the next.
