The School – This school has had a fantastic journey in recent years. With direction from a strong and visionary head teacher, this school has gone from strength to strength. Pupil achievement is rising each year and when i-teachers visited this school it was clear that there are high levels of pupil enjoyment in lessons. The science department boasts excellent results and excellent uptake for KS4. Due to the subject’s popularity the school are keen to recruit a talented graduate to support these students during this critical year in education.
The Role – The successful graduate will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, to provide targeted help for students in the English department. As a teaching assistant you will be leading learning support interventions that not only boost progress but also instil a passion for your subject in all pupils. You will have the opportunity to get involved in lesson planning and deliver these lessons with the support of experienced members of staff who will guide your professional development throughout the year.
About You – You will be a high-achieving graduate with a passion for your subject and for education. You will be resilient, patient and able to come up with creative solutions to problems. You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and will ideally have some experience working or volunteering with young people. You will have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in education and be committed to this position for a full academic year.
