Chemistry Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Working alongside class teacher in aiding and supporting students in Chemistry subject

In this brilliant role as a Chemistry Teaching Assistant you will have the opportunity to work alongside a talented and supportive class teacher, organising and conducting class lessons structured around the specific needs and requirements of the school’s students. In these lessons you will be offering individual and group support in an effort to develop and enhance the academic ability of the school’s students, through displaying your subject knowledge in a professional and motivating manor.

For this particular role you will firstly need to have obtained a minimum 2:1 Chemistry subject degree, with a strong amount of subject knowledge and relevant A-Levels. You will be required to have a passion and motivation for the subject, which will allow the students to be motivated themselves for the lessons, and potentially inspire them throughout class time to achieve to their full potential. You will need to have good organisation and communication skills, as you will be aiding the class teacher in planning and conducting the lessons, as well as speaking individually and in groups with secondary students.

The school itself specialises in the Science department, and has an array of Science staff members with a large amount of experience and passion for the subject. Containing a number of new facilities and resources purposely built to aid the education of the school’s students, they allow staff members to structure and conduct lessons with in a variety of methods to keep students motivated and focused throughout lesson time. The school itself has a number of public transport links in the local area, making the commute easy and simple for staff members in the surrounding areas of Bradford.
