Chemistry Graduate Trainee Teacher – The role information:

  • Build knowledge and skills within teaching
  • Attend regular training sessions
  • Observe other outstanding teachers
  • Plan, deliver and assess 1:1, small group and whole class sessions
  • Lead from the front
  • Teach KS3 all sciences, teach KS4 chemistry
  • Take on feedback and be able to constantly improve

Chemistry Graduate Trainee Teacher – Person Specification:

  • Must have a 2.1 or 1st degree within Chemistry
  • Strong A Levels – A-C grades
  • Experience working with young people e.g. in a tutoring/mentoring role or voluntary capacity
  • Confident, resilient and adaptable
  • Able to listen and take on feedback
  • Good communicator
  • Ready to embark upon the challenging, yet rewarding career in education
