Chemistry Teaching Assistant – paid Graduate role prior to PGCE Training!

This ambitious and academically excellent school is looking to find the right Chemistry degree graduate to add an enhanced amount of subject knowledge to their talented array of Science staff members, and develop and improve the academic ability of the school’s students across all ranges of the schools age spectrum.

Chemistry Teaching Assistant – Job Overview:

  • Helping to develop and enhance secondary students academic ability in the subject of Chemistry
  • Providing the student with strong subject knowledge
  • Aiding the class teacher in organising and conducting class lessons
  • Offering support and knowledge throughout
  • Nurturing and developing teaching techniques alongside experienced class teachers
  • Brilliant prior experience for aspiring Science/Chemistry teachers
  • Direct route into teacher training scheme supplied by school itself!
  • Paid £300-£325 per week, term time only!
  • Immediate Start!

Candidate Specification:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Chemistry subject required
  • Brilliant subject knowledge
  • Passion and ambition to work with secondary school students
  • Wanting to improve academic ability of schools students
  • Ability to communicate appropriately with students and staff
  • Good organisation and admin skills
  • Able to work with both groups and in individual sessions
  • Possible prior experience working within schools, or teaching children
