Core Subject Graduate Role – Sandwell- Person specification –
The school are seeking a dynamic graduate with a genuine passion for either English Maths or Science and an aspiration to teach. You must have gained a 2:1 in your degree and demonstrate a compassionate nature to adapt to the needs of individual pupils. You must have some experience working with children, ideally in a school setting. Furthermore, you must be a confident individual who can communicate efficiently with a wide range of pupils, all with varied learning abilities.
Core Subject Graduate Role – Sandwell – About the role –
The role will involve assisting the core subject teachers in the school in day-to day duties such as lesson planning and group tasks. Once your confidence grows you will have the opportunity to enhance your own development with the support of the department. This may include planning and conducting you own lessons and marking work, all whilst being offered training. The role further requires you to manage small groups of students and provide 1:1 support when certain aspects of the curriculum that students may be struggling with. This role requires you being able to conduct focused interventions in small groups in order to provide 1:1 support to students who are struggling with certain aspects of the particular subject.
