- Paid £325 – £350 per week
- You will see yourself supporting throughout your subject specialism
- An element of flexibility is required in this role
You will be working closely within KS4 in this vibrant and larger than average sized secondary school. You could be working with higher ability pupils to give them the challenge and push they need or with groups of pupils who need positivity and encouragement to feel more confident and become a fearless learner.
You will have the opportunity to create your own resources and lead your own intervention classes – all with the guidance of your own mentor. This is fabulous opportunity to build meaningful relationships with a variety of students, whilst developing your teaching skills and becoming a real asset to this school.
You will need to be confident in your own ability – not only your ability within your subject area, but your ability to work closely with young people. You will show that you have clear commitment to your own development and be willing to take on training as needed.
You will need to be trustworthy, positive and empathetic to the needs and challenges of some of these young people, to ensure all children feel that they are in an environment where they can achieve the best they can and be who they want to be. In addition, you will need to be able to develop strong working relationships with staff members and parents, to continue the inclusive and trusting relationship that they pride themselves on at this school.
The school is highly experienced in training graduates on their foundation work experience year, equipping them with the necessary skills and qualities to be a successful teacher in the future.
