To be considered for this EAL Teaching Assistant opportunity you must have the following:
*1st or 2:1 degree – Russell Group (preferable) in a core subject or psychology
*A passion to support others
*Prior school, education or tutoring experience would be preferred
*Experience of working with children where English is an additional language
This EAL Teaching Assistant role would see you supporting international new arrivals or those who may need additional support with English language to ensure their school day and teaching is not interrupted or affected in any way. You will run interventions on 1:1 or small group basis to bring on literacy skills with those students struggling with language. If you have an additional language, you will be able to work with those international new arrivals, and potentially even support those with that language.
To be successful in this job role you will need to hold a degree from the UK, ideally Russell Group, with a minimum 2:1 result and strong A Levels. It would be an advantage if you had previous experience teaching EAL in the past.
