Early Years Teaching Assistant
This role would be perfect for a recent graduate who is looking to begin their career in teaching. Previous school based experience is desirable, you may have acquired skills working with children in other environments (coaching etc) which will transfer into a school environment. Strong communication, self-motivation and resilience is key to this role! You must have a degree with a good academic background and a genuine passion for education.
You will be working in the Early Years Department, supporting nursery and reception classes in this forward thinking school. The school follows a child centred relevant curriculum that will grow with the pupils. You will work under the guidance of the phase leader and help to plan and deliver exciting activities. You may be required to support some children with personal care, such as help going to the toilet, though training will be provided on this. This role starts in September and runs for the whole academic year, giving you valuable experience prior to applying for a PGCE.
