 English Graduate Academic Coach – Person specification

To apply for this role you must have a good degree in English or related subject (2:1 or above required) and a passion for education.  You will have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching and be committed for a full academic year.  Ideally you will have some experience working or volunteering with young people. A strong academic record is essential but you must also be a people-person, able to remain calm under pressure and be able to think on your feet.  You must have the patience and communication skills that will enable you to build relationships with your pupils, especially the ones that are struggling or disengaging.  You will be running 1:1 and small group learning interventions with a great focus on KS4 classes as they prepare for their all-important GCSE exams at the end of the year.
