English Graduate Academic Mentor

Graduate Academic Mentor – English Graduate

  • Role suitable for a high-achieving English Graduates (2.1 or above)
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, long-term role
  • Fabulous experience prior to teacher training
  • Role based in Enfield
  • Train to teach with the school
  • Support students within the English department

What will you be doing as a Graduate Academic Mentor?

  • Collaborating within the English department
  • Observing outstanding lessons
  • As your confidence grows, take on your own lessons
  • Earning whilst you learn from experienced and outstanding teachers
  • Deliver your own 1:1 and small group intervention sessions
  • Using your knowledge within either English Language and/or Literature to support the English department
  • Support KS3, KS4 and KS5

What will you need?

  • English related degree, 2.1 or 1st
  • Passion and enthusiasm to work in education
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Confidence to deliver lessons to a range of students
