English Graduate Learning Mentor – The Role:

This role requires a talented English graduate with a strong academic background who is eager to share their specialist subject knowledge and wants to make a positive impact on the academic performance of the school!

You will have the opportunity to work alongside a talented English department who will support and guide you as you develop your teaching and communication skills. This varied and exciting role requires you to host intervention sessions for students with a range of academic ability on a small group and 1:1 basis where you will support their academic journey and monitor their progress, thus inspiring them to succeed in English!

English Graduate Learning Mentor – Person Specification:

  • 2.1 or 1st class degree in English
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Previous work with children is desirable
  • Supportive and inspiring personality
  • Patient and empathetic mentality is crucial
  • Passionate about education
