For this English Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will be working with children, staff and parents with the support and guidance from the Department Head in order to engage students in the classroom. Not only will you be encouraging them to reach the best results, but your role will be to motivate them to enjoy and appreciate their education.
The school is looking for a fantastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant who has attained a 2:1 or above in an English related degree and have strong A levels. You should be able to display good communication skills as you will be interacting with the students, staff and parents in a polite and approachable manner, and be proactive in supporting the students’ development and encourage them to achieve the best possible results. You must be committed and determined to develop the students with your strong knowledge.
During this role, you may find yourself working 1:1 with students and understanding their needs and goals for the academic year. You will assist in group activities and may have to opportunity to deliver class sessions with the support from the Department heads. You will also gain hands on experience in the planning, delivery and assessment of lessons, essential experience for an aspiring teacher.
