The Role – The successful graduate will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, to provide targeted help for students in the English department. As a teaching assistant you will be leading learning support interventions that not only boost progress but also instil a passion for your subject in all pupils. Your responsibilities will grow rapidly as you begin to take on cover and get involved with lesson planning and delivery. This role is suitable for an ambitious graduate, keen to get stuck in straight away and progress quickly.
About You – You will be a high-achieving recent graduate (2:1 minimum), with a passion for your subject and for education. You will be resilient, patient and able to come up with creative solutions to problems. You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and will ideally have some experience working or volunteering with young people. You will have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in education and be committed to this position long-term.
