English Intervention Worker – Overview:
- Working alongside talented and experienced English staff members delivering vital academic support to secondary students
- Displaying and utilising degree subject knowledge to expand the academic ability of secondary students
- Ability to work both inside and outside of the classroom
- Organising and conducting a number of specifically structured sessions
- Paid £300-£325 per week, term time only as English Intervention Worker
- Immediate Start!
In this wonderful role as an English Intervention worker you will get the unique opportunity to work both alongside the class teacher organising and conducting lessons to secondary students, as well as planning specifically structured sessions outside of the classroom to students in need of more academic support within the English subject. You will be displaying your subject knowledge and teaching ability in these sessions using good communication skills to make the students feel comfortable and focused.
For this role you will firstly need to have obtained a minimum 2:1 English subject degree, with a vast amount of subject knowledge to go with it. You will need to have exceptional organisational and communication skills, allowing you to structure individual sessions based around the needs and weak points of the students’ academic ability. You must have a patient and understanding attitude to allow the student to learn at their own pace, and make sure that they do not feel pressured when in your sessions.
