Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Paid £60-£65 per day

  • Work school hours, 8:30 – 3:30/3:45

Person Specification – Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant

For this role you must:

  • Have recently graduated with a minimum 2:1 degree
  • Excellent Geography subject knowledge
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • The ability to engage pupils with challenging and creative tasks
  • Have a genuine passion for education

About the Role – Geography Teaching Assistant

During the course of the academic year, you will assigned specifically to the Geography department. You will play a key role in the schools intervention strategy, supporting struggling students who need that extra help outside of the classroom with booster sessions or 1:1 support.


You will work alongside inspirational teachers in order to raise outcomes for pupils. You will build relationships with specific pupils who you will be a ‘key worker’ for in order to break down any barriers to learning. This role includes a mixture of pastoral and academic responsibilities so the ability to communicate with students effectively is essential.
