In this Geography Graduate Teaching assistant role you will gain paid experience that will enable you to continue on to teacher training either with the same school or through a traditional PGCE route. Initially in your role you will work as a Geography Graduate teaching assistant. You will support a range of students across KS3, KS4 and occasionally KS5. You will work 1:1 and with small groups, running intervention sessions for students who are underperforming. At times some students may require support due to having a special educational need. Other children may need bespoke support due to speaking English as an additional language.
More frequently you will be assisting within core subjects. Ideally you will have a degree in Geography related subject. Other degree subjects will be considered if you have strong A Levels or previous experience working with young people.
