Have you now had enough time to think about what career path is right for you and are you ready to take the plunge into teaching?

What better way to do this than to gain valuable, full-time graduate teaching experience from now until the end of the academic year.

You will be placed in one school that will give you the opportunity to acclimatise into the teaching world and develop your skills and knowledge at a pace that suits you.

At i-teachers, we believe in the power and impact that you, a passionate and driven graduate, can have in inspiring and empowering the next generation to succeed.

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday role
  • Strong academic background essential

As a Graduate Academic Coach, you will be working throughout the school in your subject specialism, with a particular focus on GCSE support. You could be working with higher ability students to give them the challenge and push they need, or you could be working with lower ability students who need positivity and encouragement to feel more confident to give things ago and develop personally. These sessions may be organised by yourself or the class teacher, and could be on a 1:1 or group basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop you teaching skills prior to moving onto teacher training perhaps in the same school.

You will need to have high expectations of your own ability and others, in order to be a positive role model to all children throughout the school. You will need to be trustworthy and positive to ensure all students feel that they are in an environment where they can achieve the best they can. In addition, you will need to be able to develop relationships with staff members, to continue the inclusive and friendly atmosphere they have at school.

You will need to have a minimum of a 2:1 in your subject and demonstrate your passion for education. Strong A-Levels are considered for each subject specialism if you demonstrate a clear drive to work in education and support to a high standard up to GCSE.

The school is highly experienced in training graduates on their foundation work experience year, equipping them with the necessary skills and qualities to be a successful teacher in the future. The school is located in the Central Birmingham area within easy distance of train and bus transport links.

If you are determined to make a difference to the lives of others through education and feel you can demonstrate your ability to be the next outstanding teacher, then ‘APPLY NOW’ and send your CV to Jamie at i-teachers for automatic consideration.

With a number of roles in supportive and drive schools across the West Midlands areas, we will support you to find a school that fits with your location and teaching preferences.
