Graduate Academic Mentor

Have you have considered a career in teaching but are looking for a support role to figure out if it’s for you?

Do you have a minimum of a 2:1 mathematical degree and are keen on gaining a years’ worth of experience within your subject specialism before potentially pursuing teacher training or further education?

Based in Haringey, North London the Head Teacher of this secondary is particularly interested in a Maths Graduate who would be willing to undergo teacher training with the school under our unique route into teaching.

The Graduate Academic Mentor will work closely within your subject specialism department, supporting the lessons across KS3 and KS4 (A-level and GCSE students). When instructed, you will lead 1:1 and group booster sessions for students who are struggling to grasp the lesson content. Outside of lessons, you can expect to work closely within the common rooms and raise the maths departments profile by being actively invested in extra-curricular activities.

This trend-setting secondary school is found in Islington and is a short walk from White Hart Lane station .The school has a terrific learning environment that has led to it being oversubscribed for several years running. It enjoys some superb facilities, including large grounds and is well on its way to achieving ‘Outstanding’ status.
