Graduate Academic Mentor – Primary SEN
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent Psychology graduate to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the Leeds area this September as a Graduate Academic Mentor, supporting a child with additional behavioural needs.
Are you a talented and hardworking Psychology graduate passionate about a career in SEN supporting primary pupils?
Do you want the opportunity to gain invaluable first hand teaching experience as a Graduate Academic Mentor inside a wonderful primary SEN department?
Perhaps you have prior experience working with children with additional behavioural needs, and want to utilise your subject knowledge as a Graduate Academic Mentor?
In this role as a Graduate Academic Mentor you will be working alongside a driven and dedicated primary SEN department, supporting children with additional behavioural needs developing their academic, social and emotional ability.
You will be planning and delivering 1:1 intervention sessions structured around a tailored plan making sure that the child receives an exceptional standard of support throughout, making sure they remain engaged and focused during the session, as well as being able to deal with any challenging behaviour that they may display.

- Paid £300 – £325 per week, term time only as Graduate Academic Mentor

Requirements for the role:
- Minimum 2:1 Psychology subject degree
- Strong academic background
- Extensive degree subject knowledge
- Passionate about supporting children with additional behavioural needs
- Supportive and inspirational attitude
- Ability to plan and deliver 1:1 sessions
- Prior experience supporting child with additional behavioural needs preferred
