Graduate Academic Mentor (GCSE Support, Leading onto Teacher Training) – Secondary School – Leeds LS6
Are you a recent graduate with a core subject degree, hoping to take your first steps into a school based environment?

This experienced and caring Secondary School is looking for a passionate and committed graduate wanting to take their first steps in a school based environment, supporting GCSE students by making sure they are getting equal opportunities to achieve the best possible results they can.

This Role – In this challenging yet exciting role, you will be expected to offer the best possible support to GCSE students via 1:1 sessions or in a classroom environment, given them the best possible opportunity to reach their full potential and the opportunity of creating a better future for the students. Working across the core subject department, you will be working with the class teacher implementing the curriculum onto these students, with a caring and supportive attitude understanding any particular issue they may have regarding the work being set.
Role Requirements – In this role you will need to first of all have a strong core subject knowledge with the ability to help the student in any situation regarding any part of the school curriculum. You must have a caring and positive attitude and able to converse throughout the school day with any student or staff member. You must have good communication skills, allowing the student to feel confident and safe in the knowledge that they are in good hands regarding their education.
