Graduate Achievement Coach – School based role – excellent teaching experience
Are you a recent graduate, who truly believes in the power of education to enable young people to succeed throughout their school and future life experiences?
This is a fabulous opportunity to learn what it takes to be an outstanding teacher from some of the most successful teachers!
Day-to-day, you will be working alongside the class teachers to raise aspirations and achievement amongst some of their students who really need an additional role model. You will have hand on experience leading small interventions, as well as even turning your hand to a little bit of cover to really develop your own teaching flair!

- Minimum 2:1 and strong A Levels essential
- Term-time only, Monday-Friday role
- School located close to Birmingham City Centre – Selly Oak

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an incredibly interesting and diverse role, whereby you will be providing pastoral and academic support to specific groups pupils that need an additional push to achieve.
You will be supporting and motivating students with their A-Level and GCSE preparation, to ensure personal and social development to successfully transition into the next stage of their educations and career.
You will need to liaise and work collaboratively with both subject specific teachers and within cross-curricular activities, ensuring students receive the support they need both inside and outside of the classroom. After being allocated a specific group of students who you will assist and support them through the rest of the year, both academically and with personal, social or emotional difficulties.
ABOUT YOU:
You will preferably you will have a degree in a core subject and must be degree educated with a minimum of a 2:1, as well as strong A Levels.
Ideally you will have previous work experience with young people and will have a sparky, confident and adaptable nature. Also, it is essential that you are a confident communicator, both written and verbal, as you will be required to liaise with students, parents and staff
Lastly, you will be committed to gaining valuable experience prior to further training and be ready to hit the ground running in this new role.

This school is rate Ofsted good and will give you access to personal mentor that will train and support you throughout your experience. The school is located in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham with easy access from the city centre and surrounding areas.
