In this role you will work specifically with children who have additional behavioural needs, and require 1:1 support in the classroom to help them keep on task and fulfil their potential. Your specific degree will come in handy to specialise as you may also be able to run small intervention groups on literacy or numeracy topics, for those who may be struggling. This is a growing school which endeavours to support graduates at this early stage to bring more talent into the teaching profession.
The ideal candidate for this behaviour and learning mentor role is an enthusiastic and supportive individual with a real passion for education and a desire to become a teacher or behavioural role in a similar field. You must have graduated with a 2:1 or higher in your degree and have a good academic background. You do not necessarily need school based experience however working with children in other environments is essential, ideally where you have used behavioural techniques.
