Person specification – Graduate Cover Supervisor:

  • 2:1 or above degree – Core subject degree ideal
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Supportive and hardworking during school hours
  • Previous experience supporting secondary students preferred
  • Eager to progress into secondary teaching career

This Graduate Cover Supervisor role is ideal for a strong core subject graduate looking to gain first hand teaching experience inside of a fantastic secondary school, structuring and conducting lessons in their specialist subject whilst developing their skillset and attributes during the academic year.

In this role you will be working inside the classroom, initially supporting students through the provision of 1:1 and group sessions, developing their understanding and ability in your specialist subject. As you progress into the year, you will have the ability to conduct lessons based around and specifically tailored lesson plan, giving you a real indication of what you will need to be a successful teacher!
