This role is the perfect opportunity for you to gain experience as an EAL TA/LSA in a highly inclusive and welcoming primary school. You will mainly be focusing on ensuring confidence levels amongst children and raised and the ethos, vision and values of the school are implemented each day. Many of the children in this particular school have low confidence, self-esteem with subjects such as literacy and numeracy due to a ‘disadvantaged’ background.
In this position, you will be working alongside the class teachers to offer support with small groups of children and on a 1:1 basis. Most pupils will have their own individual learning and support plans that you will be able to follow to ensure progress is made. However, there is an element of flexibility to implement your own learning strategies that you believe will help.
You must have the ability to be able to build rapport easily as this will prove to be a vital part of your role. You will need to have a minimum of a 2:1 degree in your chosen subject and if your degree is a core subject then that would be highly advantageous! Psychology graduates are also welcomed to apply for this role, especially those with an interest in SEN.
If you feel that you have what it takes to remain positive and resilient whilst helping young people then register your interest straight away by sending your CV to Andrew at i-teachers.
