Graduate English Teaching Assistant – The Role:

This fantastic role is a great opportunity for a bright individual to gain valuable school based experience before plunging into teacher training. You will learn lots of important skills crucial for teaching which you will refine through regular feedback and guidance from qualified teachers in this department!

You will have the opportunity to shadow talented department staff where you will learn teaching techniques and communication skills as well as helping to organise and conduct class lessons with them. Not only this, you will also support classes through leading small group and 1:1 sessions with students where you can monitor their progress and build better relationships with students!

 

Graduate English Teaching Assistant – Person Specification:

  • 2.1 or 1st class degree in English
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Previous work with children is desirable
  • Supportive and inspiring personality
  • For an individual aspiring to become a teacher prior to teaching courses
  • Real passion for your particular subject
  • Strong academic background
  • Passionate about education
