Graduate Learning Advisor
Here at i-teachers we are currently working with a number of primary, secondary and sixth form colleges across Birmingham who are keen to appoint talented, driven and considerate graduates in a pastoral support assistant role. The role is ideally suited for a graduate who is high achieving and ambitious, looking to gain paid experience in a support role within education prior to moving in to either teaching training or Educational Psychology.
You will provide support in lessons, identifying causes and triggers of student’s barriers to learning and working on strategies to support individual needs by setting targets and monitoring progress. Providing 1:1 support and mentoring small groups of pupils will be the main basis of the role. As a Graduate Learning Advisor you will liaise with parents, carers, teachers and colleagues in order to establish support plans to best help students throughout their academic year.
On occasion you will attend pastoral meetings along with meeting with outside organisations to discuss strategies for individual children. Some children may need support due to being isolated from their teaching groups, you will assist these students with class work, but also with pastoral and well-being issues.
To apply for this role you must have graduated and be looking to take the next step on your journey in to becoming either a teacher or Educational Psychologist.
Send your CV now to Jamie at i-teachers today. If shortlisted you will be contacted to discuss the next steps.
