Graduate Learning Mentor – Secondary School – Stockport (SK4)
This warm and welcoming secondary school in Heaton Mersey are looking to find an inspiring and attentive core subject graduate to be part of their driven and dedicated secondary staff department for the rest of their academic year – possibly continuing in September 2019!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a core subject graduate to nurture and develop their personal and teaching skillset alongside an experienced and supportive core subject teaching department!

Role Description:
- Graduate Learning Mentor
- Secondary school
- Core subject graduate
- Supporting students in 1:1 and group sessions
- Developing academic ability of students in your specialist subject
- Structuring sessions around enriched and balanced curriculum
- Start in September – interviews ASAP with handover from current graduates
- Paid £300 – £335 per week, term time only as Graduate Learning Mentor
- Full time/Monday – Friday role
- Opportunity to gain paid first hand teaching experience as Graduate Learning Mentor
Requirements for the role:
- Minimum 2:1 degree in core subject
- Excellent academic background
- Prior experience working with young children or adults (not necessarily education based)
- Supportive and caring attitude
- Passionate about a career in education
