Learning Mentor positions open to graduates ideally with core subject degrees – English, Maths and Science!

Graduate Learning Mentor

  • Positions starting September 2019 until July 2020
  • Graduate position – Step into teaching
  • Core subject degree – English, Maths, Science, Humanities
  • Full time, Monday – Friday, term time
  • Paid upto £335 per week, term time only

Graduate Learning Mentor – Person Specification:

  • Confident communicator
  • You must be an emphatic person who can offer appropriate support to students who have a range of needs
  • Ideally you have a core subject degree in English, Maths or Science
  • A strong passion for education.
  • Aspiring teacher

Graduate Learning Mentor – About the role:

You will work with targeted students who need that extra push to achieve their full potential. You will also work closely with year 11’s on the run up to their GCSE’s.

You will be required to deliver booster sessions 1:1 or to small groups of students in order to give them that extra push outside of the classroom. The teacher and Senior Leadership team will assist you along the way and you will liaise with them to ensure progress is being made.

Please note you do not need to have prior experience of delivering intervention sessions similar to this, however if you do have experience in tutoring this would be advantageous.
