Hours: School Day, Term time only
Pay: £300 – £325 per week

The Head teacher and head of the Maths department at this high achieving secondary school are seeking to appoint an ambitious and engaging graduate to work as a graduate learning mentor within their Mathematics department.
The successful candidate will be committed to raising achievement and will have the ability to support pupils to overcome any barriers that they may face.
The successful candidate will:
– Be committed and reliable
– Be hardworking and have some experience supporting pupils learning – mentoring or tutoring experience
– Will hold a 2:1 or above degree in Mathematics
– Will possess a strong academic background
– Will show confidence by having the ability to design and deliver 1:1 and small group interventions
The role of the Graduate Learning Mentor is to support the Maths department, support pupils with their Maths education under the direction of the teachers. You will spend some time working with KS3 (Year 7-9) pupils, although primary focus will be given to GCSE pupils needing 1:1 intervention to support them on the run up to their exams.
You will be given expert guidance from the schools exceptional Head of Maths, a dedicated individual who really cares about the team and takes an active interest in the development of graduates.
