A warm and welcoming school in Newcastle are recruiting for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team of caring, supportive, and committed staff in the next academic year. The role involves supporting with SEN, aiding children to access the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom and delivering group sessions.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – The Role:

• Graduate Learning Support Assistant
• Located in Newcastle
• Providing support to children with SEN in a mainstream school
• Promoting the student’s educational, emotional, and social development
• Employing and adapting various teaching strategies to suit the needs of the children
• Liaising with SENCo and teachers to aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom
• Helping with group/1:1 sessions

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – The Benefits:

• Paid £350 – £450 per week, term time only

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject
• Previous experience supporting people with SEN
• Previous experience working/volunteering with children and young people
• Passionate about education
• Understanding, patient and empathetic towards young people’s needs
• Dedicated to making a difference to student’s experience of education
