Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education?

Do you have previous experience working with SEN and/or Mental Health and would like to utilise this within a learning support assistant role?

Perhaps one day you’re hoping to train to become a teacher, or study further within a psychology field and can benefit from paid, long-term experience as a Learning Support Assistant?

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – The Role:

  • Support students on a 1:1/small group basis
  • Plan, deliver and assess intervention sessions
  • Work alongside the SEN department
  • Learn and take on feedback in order to improve
  • Gather resources and support class teachers
  • Gain experience and take on further responsibility as your knowledge/confidence grows

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Person Specifications:

  • Graduate with a minimum of 2.1 degree
  • Experience working with young people is essential
  • Ideally have SEN experience
  • Have a desire to work within education long-term
  • Be passionate to enhance the learning experience of SEN pupils
  • Be a confident communicator who can liaise with a variety of people
