This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with young people who have additional barriers to learning, due to growing up in what is considered a more disadvantaged background.
You will be responsible for leading your own workshops and supporting these students to improve their behaviour, attendance and engagement in education. There will be a strong focus on target setting and following up with specific needs the students have.
There is a strong focus on developing these students personally, giving them the confidence and belief that they can achieve their ambitions and deserve the opportunity to be successful.
On occasion you will attend pastoral meetings along with meeting with outside organisations to discuss strategies for individual students.
Graduates who have been successful in these roles in previous years have had a background in coaching, sports, psychology, mentoring or youth work.
To apply for this role you must have or be on track to have graduated by July 2019 and be looking to take the next step on your career.
Send your CV now to Jamie at i-teachers today. If shortlisted you will be contacted to discuss the next steps.
