Graduate Physics Academic Mentor – The Role:

This opportunity is perfect for a talented Physics graduate who is looking for a role in a fantastic secondary school but would be maybe better suited to a more comprehensive style of teaching!

Working alongside this talented science department it will be your role to support teacher’s lessons by offering additional support to students with a range of academic ability, monitoring their progress. This role will allow you to display and utilise your own specialist degree knowledge as you grow the attainment of your students and spread a passion for physics which is an immensely rewarding feeling!

Graduate Physics Academic Mentor – Person Specification:

  • 2.1 or 1st class degree in physics
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Previous work with children is desirable
  • Supportive and inspiring personality
  • Patient and empathetic mentality is crucial
  • Real passion for your particular subject
  • Strong academic background
  • Passionate about education
