Graduate Primary Learning Mentor – Year 5 and Year 6 – Perfect Opportunity for Core Subject Graduates

This particular school in a leafy suburb of Birmingham are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team for the next academic year to support their Year 5 and Year 6 children with transition and the step up from Lower Key Stage 2.

As a Graduate Primary Learning Mentor you will support across Upper Key Stage 2, working alongside teachers in both Year 5 and 6. You will get the chance to observe outstanding teaching within the classroom and also deliver your own interventions to small targeted groups. You will begin to adapt planning and use your excellent core subject knowledge to deliver inspiring and creative group sessions.
You will be liaising with the class teachers to develop accelerated progress in both reading and grammar – this is to ensure all students are given the full support they deserve, whilst boosting their development.
The requirements for this role would be to possess strong academic background and demonstrate clear and concise written and spoken communication skills. Ideally you will have a 1st or 2.1 grade and you will have experience in a similar role.
