This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a Psychology graduate passionate about the development of children with additional behavioural needs to gain first hand SEN teaching experience as a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant for a child with Autism.

In you role as a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant you will be supporting a child with Autism, structuring and conducting lessons around a detailed and specific lesson plan designed to develop the academic, social and emotional ability of the child.

  • Full academic year – September 2019 start
  • Working inside exemplary SEN department

  • Paid £300 – £325 per week, term time only as Early Years Teaching Assistant

Requirements for the role – Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant 1:1 Autism Mentor:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology subject degree
  • Strong academic background
  • Vast degree subject knowledge
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional behavioural needs
  • Supportive and enthusiastic personality
  • Prior experience working with young children
  • Patient and understanding regarding progress of child
