Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – Paid School Experience – Early Years and KS1

- Full-time, Monday to Friday role
- Support across Early Years and KS1
- Lead small group and 1:1 literacy and numeracy interventions

This position is perfect for an enthusiastic and outgoing graduate who would like to gain a fascinating insight into the day-to-day running of a successful Early Years and KS1 department. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who looking to expand their experience creating and delivering practical educational activities that fit perfectly within Early Years education. You will be supporting a busy and happy Reception and Year 1 classroom, helping children ages 4-6 to adapt, develop and thrive in their first years of school. You will be taking on additional personal support for some children who may not feel as confident or independent as their peers.
There is a strong community feel in this school and they are familiar with supporting graduates through this fantastic experience to then transition onto teacher training or further training.
This child-centred school is looking for a caring, patient and empathetic nature, with strong communication and resilience. You will need to have a good academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree, some transferable experience working with children and a commitment to working in education. The school is located in a great location in Central Birmingham, close to the Aston area and is easily accessible by most train and bus services.
