Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – English graduates
You will join a creative group of KS2 staff who are keen to raise attainment levels in literacy across the top of the school. The school have worked hard in recent years to nurture a love of reading and are now looking to raise writing standards, with particular focus on Upper Key Stage 2. The school plan their literacy with a book as the focus, giving the children’s writing a real purpose.
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – English graduates – The Role:
- Work with children across KS2 (Year 3 and 4 initially)
- Some booster sessions with pupils in Year 6 – Support SATs writing outcomes
- Support with both literature and language
- Exposure to how teachers plan for Literacy
- Co-planning opportunities
- School is part of an academy trust
- Excellent CPD
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – English graduates – You will need to have:
- A 1st or 2:1 degree in an English related degree
- Matching A Levels and GCSE grades
- An ability to work full time for the remainder of this academic year
- Aspire to work within education
- Motivation to get involved in planning and intervention teaching
