1:1 Graduate Teaching Assistant – Literacy and Numeracy Support – Primary

- Minimum 2:1 degree – Maths and English degrees or strong A Levels considered
- Paid £300 – £350 per week (term-time only)

This role would be working 1:1 with groups of children who are finding it tricky to grasp the foundations in literacy and numeracy. Some of these children find it harder to communicate and retain words and phrases, as well as being able to define words and get ideas down on paper. You will be working with these children on a 1:1 and small group basis in Maths and English classes. Outside of those lessons, you will be creating resources that will help these children to develop their communication skills and ultimately achieve their potential.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high attention to detail because you will be keeping a record of development and improvements. You will need to be a strong communicator and be confident when talking to parents, teachers and other leaders. It’s important that you can build a strong rapport with these children, and maintain a high level of consistency in order to get the best out of his sessions. It is essential that you have a strong educational background, with a 1st or 2:1 degree in a core subject.
