Person Specification – English Graduate Teaching Assistant

The ideal candidate for this role will be an enthusiastic English Graduate who has a 2:1 degree or above. Any previous experience of mentoring/working with children would be advantageous. You must be able to start in September. This role is suited to someone who would like to pursue teacher training in the near future.

About the role

This role will involve you joining a supportive and multicultural Primary School in September as a teaching assistant. Your specific responsibilities will involve assisting with the schools literacy strategy and ensuring all pupils are making and exceeding expected progress. You may be required to work 1:1 to deliver booster and intervention strategies with pupils and liaise with their class teacher/parents.

The children come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and you will have the chance to really make a difference.
