This lovely and nurturing Primary school in Wolverhampton has a supportive KS2 team are looking to take on a creative and devoted graduate to support them with literacy and numeracy support this academic year.

  • Great PGCE experience as a Teaching Assistant

  • September 2019 start – graduate trial days being arranged for September – apply ASAP!

The role will involve running support sessions for writing, ranging from group sessions to individual targeted support sessions with groups of children in Year 5 and 6. This Primary Teaching Assistant position involves supporting the individual needs of the pupils in class whilst personalising their learning through adapting lesson planning and activities in order to plug gaps in areas such as spelling, punctuation and grammar/reading.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an inspiring graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree and strong literacy and numeracy skills. You will be passionate about writing and have some previous experience of working with young people; not necessarily within a school setting. The school are looking for graduates with the drive to assess and meet the social and academic needs of groups of children. The ideal candidate for this Primary Teaching Assistant role should be passionate about literacy and able to inspire and engage the pupils they teach, as well as offering high levels of literacy.

Furthermore the school has a supportive senior leadership team who are devoted to exploring new approaches in teaching and learning.
